Schneider Von Gunn Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd (ABN 18 645 091 158), trading as SVG Pharma (“we”, “us”, “our”), is committed to protecting your privacy.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and take reasonable steps to ensure information is collected, stored, and used securely and responsibly.

Information We Collect

We may collect limited personal information, including:

when you contact us, submit an enquiry, apply for employment, or otherwise interact with our website.

For employment applications, we may also collect information relevant to recruitment, including qualifications, work history, and referee details.

Clinical Research Data

This website does not collect sensitive health or clinical trial participant data.

Personal information collected during clinical research is managed separately in accordance with:

  • Participant informed consent

  • Ethics approvals from registered Human Research Ethics Committees (HRECs)

  • Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP E6(R2))

  • The NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2023)

  • The Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (Cth) and applicable regulatory requirements

  • Applicable State and Territory health records legislation, including the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) where relevant

De-identified Clinical Trial Data

Where clinical trial data has been de-identified in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and applicable guidelines (including the OAIC's De-identification Decision-Making Framework), such data may be made available to qualified third parties for secondary research, scientific publication, or licensing arrangements. Any such disclosure occurs only where:

  • Data has been de-identified to a standard consistent with APP and NHMRC guidance

  • The original participant informed consent supports such use

  • Appropriate written agreements are in place between SVG Pharma (or the relevant data owner) and the receiving party

Where appropriate, the relevant Human Research Ethics Committee is informed of secondary use arrangements

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law:

  • Website enquiries: typically up to 7 years

  • Employment records: in accordance with applicable employment and tax legislation

  • Clinical research data: in accordance with GCP and regulatory obligations (typically 15 years)

  • Licensed clinical data: governed by the terms of individual data licensing agreements with receiving parties

 

Privacy Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, you may lodge a complaint with us by contacting info@svgpharma.com.au.

Complaints will be:

  • Acknowledged in writing within 7 business days

  • Investigated and responded to within 30 business days where reasonably practicable

Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
